So this song...was a freaking nightmare to put together. I took a seemingly harmless loop that I liked off of looperman and put into mixcraft. It's guitar track you hear throughout the song. No key signature, no tempo, nothing. Determined, I cut and screwed tracks, messed around with the tempo until everything matched up. Anyone wanna take a guess at what tempo I ended up with? Anyone? Well...lets try 99.87...no...it couldn't be an even 100 right? Ugh! Don't ask me what key it's in either, because I can't tell you. Mixcraft says C but I can't be certain because I tried all the tracks in the Key of C and none of them sounded anything like the key this song is in. Disonance anyone? I for one like a little disonance but not when the whole song sounds like a train wreck.
I have somehow mastered this thing called mixing I think. I made a decent sounding song out of a nearly unusable using mainly my ear and sense of timing. It was a hair-pulling experience putting it all together, but here you go, for your ears to enjoy.
My next dilemma, is putting lyrics and vocals to this. I'm half tempted to leave it as it is. Anyone want to give me ideas on lyrics? I was thinking Asian Romeo, and American Juliet, perhaps you guys might have some better ideas?
